He recorded the intimacies without authorization from the partners and sold the videos. The case, which became known as the Sister Hong scandal, has won the world in recent days.
According to the 38 -year -old Nanjing Public Security Department, he wore wigs, makeup, beauty filters and voice alteration software to present herself as a woman divorced in relationship applications. He marked meetings in his apartment and, instead of asking for money, requested simple gifts such as milk, fruits, oil and even watermelon.
The videos were sold by about 150 yuan (approximately $ 116) in private groups on the internet. The leakage of images led to the exhibition of numerous victims, causing damage such as breaking relationships, virtual lynchings and even live transmissions of family members confronting identified men.
Although rumors suggested that more than 1,600 victims would have been recorded, the authorities denied this number, stating that investigations still investigate the exact amount of people involved. Police also denied rumors that Jiao would have the HIV virus and that he would have infected 11 men with AIDS.
In addition to the crime of disseminating obscene material, which may yield up to 10 years in prison, experts heard by the Chinese press indicate that Jiao can respond for other crimes, including prostitution, if the presents received are considered payment for the meetings. A rumor involving a supposed 60 -year -old man, also mentioned in the networks, was denied by police.
