DIALITARY DIES ROBERTO DUAILIBI, AT 89 YEARS

Died on Friday night (18), writer and publicist Roberto Duailibi, at the age of 89. The information was confirmed through the official profile of the advertiser on Instagram. The cause of death was not disclosed.

Duailibi was one of the founders of the DPZ agency, created in 1968 alongside Francesc Petit and José Zaragoza. Considered revolutionary for national advertising, DPZ has consolidated itself as one of the largest and most awarded agencies in the country. In 1969, he was elected “publicist of the year” by the columnist prize.

Born in Campo Grande (MS), son of a Lebanese with a Brazilian, moved to São Paulo as a child. He began his professional career in 1952, at the age of 17, at Colgate-Palmolive, and passed agencies such as JWT, McCann-Erickson and Standard, where he reached the vice-presidency of creation.

In addition to acting in the market, Duailibi worked in the academic and institutional environment. He was a teacher and director of Courses at ESPM, taught at ECA-USP, and chaired the Brazilian Advertising Agencies Association (Abap) for two administrations.
