Who is Tapia?
Born on February 18, 2002, in Santiago, Tapia began his career at Universidad Catholic, where he arrived at 10 years old. He debuted professionally in September 2020 and, over five seasons, played 117 matches and scored 22 goals. It was an important piece in two titles of the Chilean Championship and two Chilean Super Cup.
In January 2025, he moved to River Plate, but failed to get space with coach Marcelo Gallardo. Until March, he entered the field seven times (six by the National League and one for the Argentine Cup), without scoring goals or assisting.
Despite the potential demonstrated in Chile’s grassroots and highlighted selections in the South American scenario, adaptation to the Argentine team was not as expected. Therefore, their representatives have been pressuring for more minutes on the field and consider the loan as a viable solution to the career sequence.
