The artisans who will participate in the Entrepreneurship Galpão at the 50th edition of Expoacre, in Rio Branco, were selected on Friday, 18, during a draw held by the Government of Acre, through the Secretary of State for Tourism and Entrepreneurship (Seven). The selection also had the partnership of the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (Sebrae) and the Acre Commercial, Industrial, Service and Agricultural Association (Acisa).
There will be 24 artisans from the segments of bows and dolls, children’s fashion, pet fashion, crochet, memories of Acre, biojuias, indigenous handicrafts, wood, peruvian handicraft, recycling and various articles. An alignment meeting will be held with those drawn next Tuesday, 22, at a time to be informed later, at Acisa’s headquarters, located at 2351 Ceará Avenue, Dom Giocondo neighborhood.

One of the selected to expose his work is Maria de Lima, a crochet with extensive experience at the fair. “I participate in the Solidarity Economy, so the announcement came and we went there at the secretariat and signed up. Then we are here in the draw. And there were few vacancies, but thank God we were able to go to the draw.”
With seven previous guest appearances at Expoacre, the artisan is already in full swing in the preparation of rugs, napkins, crochet dolls and drinking fountains, among others. “I already have a lot ready. This year will be good, God willing. I am very anxious,” he said.

Sete’s Director of Entrepreneurship, Patrícia Parente, highlighted the beauty of Acre Crafts in the Entrepreneurship Galpão, at Expoacre. “It is a great happiness for us to be able to provide, for a diversity of people who work with handicrafts, unique sales opportunities in this great event that will surely be historical.”

According to the director of entrepreneurship, Acrea Crafts will be well represented in the Entrepreneurship Galpão. “These are extremely complete and many segments that will make the difference to the people who are visiting. Last year I was as a client, visited and bought beautiful wooden pieces; everything was wonderful. So, you do not know, who did not visit the Entrepreneurship shed at Expoacre, here is the invitation: Go there to guarantee beautiful pieces, made with great affection by the magical hands of our acre artisans.”

Celebrating 50 editions, Expoacre will be held between July 26 and August 3, at Wildy Viana Exhibition Park, with a diverse program, national shows and rodeo. The fair, which brings together thousands of people every year, is an opportunity for job and income generation.
