In a match with four expulsions, Athletic won, by turn, the Railway 2-1, this Friday (18), at the Fonte Luminosa Arena, in Araraquara-SP. David Braga and Ronaldo Tavares scored on the Minas Gerais side, in a game valid for the 17th round of Series B of the Brazilian Championship.
This was Athletic’s third straight victory in the competition. In a clipping of the last five games, the miners have won four and lost only one. Ferrinha, on the other hand, was defeated by the fourth consecutive game.
The result puts the steel squad in 13th place with 21 points. The locomotive, in turn, parked at 18 points in 16th position. Athletic returns to the lawns next Tuesday (22), at 21h30 (Brasília), to face the leader Coritiba, while the Paulistas face Athletico-PR, at 20h.
The goals
