The iPhone is no longer a luxury: know the new budget version of these mobile phones

The beginning of 2026 will be able to mark a change in Apple’s usual calendar of releases. The company is preparing a series of technological news for the first half of the year, including a new more affordable iPhone, iPad tablets variants and new MacBook computer models.

According to Bloomberg agency, all these products are expected to hit the market before the end of June next year. The strategy aims to ensure a more constant revenue flow throughout the quarters, mitigating the effects of seasonal fluctuations on electronics consumption.

Since the pandemic period that the search for Apple devices has been varied, with visible breaks in some periods of the year. The company thus seeks to counteract this trend with a more regular distribution of releases.

New accessible iPhone already in preparation

Bloomberg reveals that the launch of the iPhone 17e, successor of the iPhone 16E, launched in February this year. This line is characterized at lower prices, with initial values from 739 euros.

According to the same source, the new model should maintain an appearance similar to the previous version, but will be equipped with a more advanced processor. The decision represents a change from the usual biennial cadence of these models, suggesting a new commercial approach.

IPad and iPad Air tablets also enter the list

Apple will also have iPad and iPad Air updates, maintaining a focus on the tablets segment, which demand has been more stable among domestic and professional users.

It refers to the same source that new models can benefit from performance and autonomy improvements, although details have not yet been disclosed about possible design changes.

MacBook Air and pro follow debut for 2026

Among the equipment scheduled for the beginning of next year are MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. Bloomberg indicates that the launch of these models was initially scheduled for 2025, but was postponed to the first half of 2026.

The decision may be related to internal adjustments in the production chain or to synchronize releases with the remaining brand products.

External monitor and new Vision Pro version

Another expected novelty will be an external monitor compatible with MAC computers. Also according to Bloomberg, this equipment aims to complement the brand’s work range and should include improvements in resolution and connectivity.

Adds the publication that Apple should also present the first vision pro update, the mixed reality glasses that marked the company’s entry into the space computing segment.

More releases outside September

Traditionally, iPhone’s top gamma models are presented in September, coinciding with the beginning of the last quarter of the year, the strongest in terms of revenues. With this new approach, Apple aims to distribute releases over the first six months of the year.

According to the same source, this change may allow greater predictability in the company’s financial results by reducing the concentration of sales in a single quarter.

A bet on business stability

This reorganization of the calendar of launches can be seen in response to a more volatile market, where technological companies face increasing challenges to maintain consumer loyalty and justify frequent devices updates.

Apple thus intends to anticipate competition and reinforce its position in a context of greater pressure on product innovation and differentiation.

According to, this strategy may also reflect an attempt to stabilize the company’s margins and respond to investor requirements regarding the predictability of quarterly performance.
