The main market enhanced by Expoacre is agribusiness, and, therefore, the participation of institutions linked to this sector in the event is essential.
During the launch of the fair, this Saturday (19), the president of the Acre Agriculture and Livestock Federation, ASSUERO VERONEZ, spoke about the current scenario of agribusiness in the state.

According to him, despite the challenging moment, Expoacre remains a strategic space.
“Expoacre is always a positive moment of expectation creation. All the activity focused on agribusiness is present here. It is a time of celebration, but also business,” he said.
Veronez explained that the sector faces difficulties both nationally and local.
“Agro is going through a much more difficult phase, considering all over Brazil. In Acre, the difficulties are also quite large, because we work especially with cutting livestock, which is the main activity we have and also the main export activity of the state.”
He cited the impact of the United States tariff on Brazilian meat as one of the factors that have pressured the market.
“We are experiencing a very large low at the Boi Arroba because of this fare problem. The United States are great beef buyers in Brazil.”
In addition, the leader pointed to fall in the value of other strategic products.
“Another product that was in a growth phase was coffee, but half of the export goes to the United States and, with the rate, the price has fallen a lot. Soy, which is the second export product of Acre, is also very low prices.”
Despite the difficulties, Veronez argues that it is necessary to maintain focus on management and growth.
“It’s a time of caution, to understand the market to make investments. What we expect from a state like Acre is always more investment. We produce with quality, but in very small amounts, because we have little space to plant. The moment is difficult, but we have to believe in the future and cross this phase.”
