British Open wins outstanding Scheffler with four strokes lead

Portrush-US golf star Scottie Scheffler won the British Open for the first time and crowned an outstanding tournament. The world ranking player played a 68 at the end on Sunday and triumphed with a clear lead over his compatriots Harris English and Chris Gotterup. English was four strokes behind Scheffler, Gotterup their five. Rory McIlroy ended the major in his northern Irish homeland with seven strokes behind the divided seventh place. At the end, Sepp Straka played a par round and ended the tournament on the divided 52nd place.
