An organization ahead of its time and that challenges stereotypes. Thus we can define the JCR – HeliBras Group, a reference company in stalking, foundations and that has been operating for 37 years in the country. The bold view of its founder, João Carolino, engineer and teacher, was fundamental to overcome these barriers and achieve very particular characteristics. “We are a family business that worked, as my daughter’s entrance into the corporation showed me female power in the face of challenges and pointed out a new direction of the group,” he reveals.

Larissa Torres, the executive praised by her father, realized that she could use her experience to add and expand business. “I implemented management practices with reinforcement in continuing education and professional improvement that resulted in new impetus and renewal, both employees and the brand among its clients, which we realize that in this way, we are always ahead of industry trends,” he details.

The performance of the young woman, who has a graduate in business, with postgraduate degree from FGV and Insper, and MBA in Engineering from USP, brought a new reading to the scenario, always so masculinized. “I realized that the female peripheral vision makes a difference and we adopted a talent search plan. I can say that not only this mix improved JCR’s performance but also transmuted the daily life of professionals in”, adds Carolino.

With the Word, they: the powerful of construction

In order to find a little more what it is like to work in a field where 85% of colleagues are men, the report of Young Pan He was with two collaborators of the company and spoke openly about what the challenge of working in construction is.

For Gabriela Nascimento, a 23 -year -old civil engineering student who works on the works administrative, the focus is the best remedy against prejudice. “We women need to recognize our value. The secret is to run after dreams without calling on the opinions of others, which will not make the slightest difference. When we position ourselves and focus, opinions or criticism become fuel and become bigger than we already are.”

Married 3 years ago, she states that prejudice has never suffered and that the provocations are only in the jokes that hear between one terrain and another. In a good mood, she countered her companions when she jokes that only the woman realizes so much in her life. “We are very charged all the time and we need to exercise self -love because it is a wrong concept that society helps to inflate: that women can do all the time and this is not true,” he warns.

Larissa Moraes agrees in parts with her colleague. The occupational safety technique reveals at age 33 that being a single mother of a 14 -year -old learned that there is no obstacle that cannot be overcome and that life and difficulties, they teach. She is incisive in answering the questions we asked objectively and surgically. “Being a mother alone and independent I need to make it happen and I can do it for it. So, for me, I have to handle everything, yes, this is undeniable. What can I talk about the qualities as a woman in the area of construction? No one is irreplaceable and what makes me different is precisely, respecting the difference between people and their stories.”

She claims that she has never had prejudice situations in professional life and when we asked what she would say to a man if he said she’s in the wrong place, Larissa replies: “I would say that kind of opinion doesn’t interest me.” Like Gabriela, she demonstrates to be focused on her life, formation, career and trajectory, that is, both show that the objectivity in the exercise of the function is the “cat jump”.

For the executive of the JCR – HeliBras Group, female presence in the staff is encouraged with fair criteria of opportunity and development, shaping an environment where competence defines each person’s space. “We have increasingly invested in education as a pillar of real change. And when we talk about education, it is not just technical training, but continuous performance that reinforces values such as equality, professionalism, sustainability and meritocracy. We believe that our responsibility is to lead by example and train professionals, men and women, aware that the future construction is built with purpose and respect,” concludes CEO and President João Carolino.
