Do not cut these plants near the house. Damage guaranteed

It is estimated that there are about two million species of trees in the world. So we have a lot to choose from and we can easily skip those five species that can destroy the house to us.

Thinking about the destruction that the trees in our home can cause, we immediately think about the situation when the giant tree falls over the property. Of course, this is a real threat, but another issue is much more likely, which is often invisible to our eyes. Of course, it’s about root systems that can reach many meters and destroy various elements of the house or garden step by step. So let’s know what we should pay attention to. It is primarily about two aspects.

Also check:

First of all, remember a certain principle. It is about determining the place of distance from the property from the property. This principle says that the distance should be twice as high as the height of the tree of mature age. The second issue is species of trees that are better not to plant on your plot. Thanks to this, we will avoid many problems.

The first of the trees that is better not to plant at home is Leyland cypress (CupressoCaris Leyland). Many people are eager to use it as a hedge, because they grow very quickly. Unfortunately, his root system is growing at the same pace. If we plant it too close to the building structure, they can create a threat to our walls, fences, paving slabs or terraces.

Also check:

The second of the dangerous trees is Jesion haughtyor Fraxinus Excelsior. Unlike a cypress, it grows much slower, but it can reach a height of up to 30 meters. Such an impressive tree must have an extensive and strong root system. Hair ash roots are so strongly looking for water that sewage systems located near it are exposed to attack. Fraxinus Excelsior can be responsible for hubs in garden sewage systems and even damage to foundations.

Another of the dangerous trees is red maple (Acer Rubrum). Many people decide to plant it in the garden, because they are considered one of the most beautiful autumn decorative trees. However, its root system is extremely invasive – it can cause deformations of pavements, cracking of terrace tiles or damage to the surface. What’s more, the roots of the red maple can contribute to rotting of drains or pollution of gutters.

Also check:

The fourth species of trees that can have an extremely negative impact on our property, this black poplar. Like its predecessors, it has an extensive root system, additionally creating numerous suckers. There are known cases in which populus nigra roots stretch within several dozen meters from the trunk. Black poplars are a common cause of damage to underground infrastructure or roads, which is why planting in cities is often limited and even forbidden.

The last example of a tree, which is best not to plant at home, is white willowor Salix Alba. Like a cypress, it grows very quickly and aggressively both above and underground. In some cases, the root length exceeds three times the height of the tree itself. What’s more, research on Salix Alba indicates that its root system easily penetrates drainage and concrete, which means that it can cause huge problems in home gardens.
