The Federal Deputy (-SP) said today that he will not resign. In March, the parliamentarian and son of former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) requested a license of his mandate, whose deadline ended today, and went to live in the United States, on the grounds of political persecution.
The parliamentarian said during a live on Sunday that he will be able to “take his term” for another three months. “I won’t do any resignation. If I want to, I can take my term, at least until the next three months,” he said in the broadcast on his YouTube channel.
The 120 -day license of the parliamentarian ends on Sunday, but the congressional recess and the limit of absences permitted by the House must postpone the decision on the possible loss of mandate of the deputy. Chamber sessions only return on August 4.
If it does not officially resign to the term of office until this Monday (21), Eduardo will again receive the salary of R $ 46.3 thousand as deputy. His return as a parliamentary is automatic, not being necessary for any formality, according to the House of Representatives.
Even if he does not return to Brazil, he does not risk losing his mandate now. Punishment only occurs if the number of absences exceeds one third of plenary sessions in the year. So far, Eduardo accumulates four non -justified absences on the House website.
