Several explosions were seen and heard in northern Gaza, near the Israeli border on Sunday night (20) at local time.

Before the bombing, the Israeli army issued a warning to residents from various areas in the north of Palestinian territory, including the cities of Beit Lahia, Jabalya and Beit Hanoun.

The Israeli army stated that its troops continue with military actions in the northern part of Palestinian territory. According to the Israeli forces, troops expand operations in the city of Gaza, including land actions and air attacks.

Also this Sunday (20), over and about 150 were injured by Israeli shots in Gaza while seeking humanitarian aid, according to the Ministry of Palestinian Health.

The United Nations High Human Rights Commissioner said earlier this month that nearly 800 Gaza residents were killed trying to gain help between late May and July 7.

Negotiations on ceasefire

Teams from Israel and Hamas are involved in indirect negotiations in Doha, Qatar, with the aim of reaching a 60-day ceasefire proposed by the US and a hostage agreement mediated by Egypt and Qatar, although there are no signs of any imminent advancement.

United States President Donald Trump said on July 14 that between Israel and Hamas were “closed” last week, but nothing was announced.

“We are going very well in Gaza,” Trump said at a meeting at the Oval Hall alongside NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte. “I think we can have something to discuss soon.”

American authorities, led by the Middle East Steve Witkoff, have been pressuring Israel and Hamas to end a ceasefire agreement in recent weeks.

Much of the Gaza Strip has been reduced to a desert for more than 21 months of war and there are fears of growing hunger.
