The Government (Republicans) will restore 17 listed properties in the region where the new administrative center of the state will be built in the center of the capital.
They will be preserved and integrated into the structure that will house about 22,000 servers. The project is one of the main state management.
Constructions are ancient homes of the late 19th and early 20th century and are on the outskirts of the Palace of Campos Elíseos, where the new state administrative headquarters should be operated. The region was known for housing much of the São Paulo elite 100 years ago.
Among the properties that will undergo restoration are the House of Solidarity, the former residence of Bento de Almeida Prado and the building that today houses the Department of Education, on Rio Branco Avenue.
“We are offering a new look at downtown São Paulo, with respect to urban memory and recovery. It is the São Paulo identity that is at stake,” says state government’s secretary of strategic projects, Guilherme Afif.
. Last week, the government promoted a road show on the stock exchange with international investors interested in the proposal.
