Paulo “Borrachinha” Costa defeated Roman Kopylov by unanimous decision of the judges (30-27, 30-27 and 29-28) in combat for the average weight at UFC 318, on Sunday (20), at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, United States. Dominantly, the Brazilian won again in Ultimate after a bad sequence of four losses in five fights.
How was the fight?
The fight started with an aggressive porch, betting on low kicks and quick punches. In the final stretch, Paul got a Knockdown after a crusader who hit Kopylov from meeting. On the ground, the Brazilian failed to realize the knockout, but took the good time to dominate until the end of the robbery.
In the second round, Borrachinha remained superior, especially with the kicks on her leg and punches at the waistline. In the third minute, the Brazilian had a good sequence of crusaders on the Russian’s face, who swayed in one of them, but went on to the end.
Kopylov left over the Brazilian at the beginning of the last round, which had a sign of tiredness.
