The summer season is in full swing and many Slovaks leave to relax to Greece. But prices in popular resorts are rocket and holidaymakers are just shaking their heads in disbelief, for which they will still have to pay extra. What was once included in the price of your stay is now paying off and not a few. Sun loungers and parasols on the beach are no longer a matter of course, but a paid service that can properly increase the holiday budget every day.
He wrote to the editorial office Reader Juraj, which explained how it works on some beaches in Greece.
“There are no lounger prices on many islands in Greece. At least underestimated Chios or Lesbos. As long as you order at a given bar, you can be on a lounger as much as you want. On one ‘prestigious’ beach (Paralia Agios Isidoros in Chios) is the rule that a person has to order just over 10 euros for a lounger. Prices are not at all overshot and € 2.5 for Frédo is a normal price, ” explained.
He took another experience again Tourist from Serbiathat visited the famous beach Aliki on Thassos island. After 45 minutes of waiting for the operator, the waiter told him that he had to pay 50 euros for two loungers and a parasol. When he refused, he asked him for 20 euros only for sitting there.
Milos, who spends more than two decades of summer holidays all over Greece and the world, said that He has never encountered anything like this. He described the whole experience where he caused a heated discussion. In his words, the incident took place in the company in the right corner of the Aliki beach, where there was no price designation.
“After 45 minutes of waiting, the waiter came and told me without warning that the price for two sun loungers and a parasol is 50 euros. When we refused to pay, he said we had to pay at least 20 euros for the seating itself, ” wrote. He also added a warning to other tourists. “Avoid such places to avoid paying ‘just for staying on the beach,” he concluded.
