Eduardo Bolsonaro rules out his mandate in the House

In video, the licensed deputy said he could keep office for at least 3 months; License ends this Sunday (20.Jul)

The licensed federal deputy (PL-SP) stated that he will not resign his mandate in the House of Representatives. The statement was released on Sunday (20.Jul.2025), on video on his YouTube channel.

“I will not do any kind of resignation … If I want, I can take my term at least until the next 3 months”said the deputy.

The son of former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) is licensed from his position since March 18. Eduardo has been in the United States since February 27.

With the end of the permitted period of removal, their non -justified absences in the Chamber will be accounted for. For the to maintain the mandate, Eduardo Bolsonaro may not miss more than 1/3 of the sessions after the end of his license.
