The Serra Fair is returning to São Brás de Alportel between July 24 and 27, promising four days of intense animation, culture and tradition for the whole family.
The event, which takes place at EB 2.3 Poet Bernardo de Passos, occupies more than four hectares and has more than 300 exhibitors, 22 thematic spaces, nine restoration spaces and a dozen snack points. In total, there are more than 70 hours of shows distributed by six stages, involving about 2700 participants.

“We have all the reasons to visit here,” said the president of, Vítor Guerreiro, stressing that the Serra Fair is a “completely differentiating” event that makes known the culture, traditions, offices and products of the region.
In the musical poster, the event features performances by Matias Damásio (24 Jul), Emanuel (25 Jul), Pedro Abrunhosa (26 Jul) and Carolina Deslandes (27 Jul), every day with the opening of local bands.

Honey is the highlighted product in this edition and is present in various spaces of the venue, namely in “Sítio do Mel”, with gastronomic demonstrations and pedagogical activities. “Honey is an element that has an intimate relationship with the Algarve, with its culture and gastronomy,” said Vitor Guerreiro.
Marlene Guerreiro, vice-mayor and president of the organizing committee, highlighted the growing interest of companies at the event, which led to the creation of the new “Serra Tech” space, dedicated to technology, innovation and entrepreneurship in the interior Algarve.

Another novelty is the “Soup da Serra” initiative, which provides food options for different needs and regimes. “A fair over three decades is very happy when young people are increasingly interested, get involved and feel it like their own,” said Marlene Guerreiro, referring to the high youthful participation, namely in the Young Volunteering Program.
Among the high moments is also the presentation of a music video of Oliver Sean, recorded with young places under the Banda da Serra Jovem Banda project.

Safety and accessibility were also reinforced, according to Councilman David Gonçalves, with improvements in communications, presence of defibrillators and reserved zones for people with reduced mobility with the large stage.
The fair also includes the “Serrana Aldeia” and the “Meeting of Crafts”, with artisans working live, the “Site of the Curious”, with activities for the younger ones, the “Picadeiro”, with riding baptisms and equestrian shows, and the “Patudos Stage”, with canine demonstrations.
Tickets are on sale on the grounds from 18:30 and in advance at MEO Blueticket and the House Treasury. Family packages are also available for several days with discounts.
