Iran confirmed on Monday (21.Jul.2025) that will participate in a new round of nuclear negotiations with the United Kingdom, France and Germany. The meeting will be on Friday (25.Jul), in Istanbul, Turkey.

The Iranian decision is after the 3 European countries announced last week that they will reactivate UN (United Nations) sanctions against Iran by the end of August if nuclear negotiations with western powers are not resumed.
Conversations will involve representatives of Iran and negotiators from 3 countries, all still signatory to the 2015 nuclear agreement. Istanbul was chosen for being neutral territory.
The terms of the negotiation were not disclosed, and there is no concrete expectation of advancement at the Friday meeting.
