Almost 90% Gaza is subject to Israel military displacement or control orders

87.8% of the Gaza Strip is subject to orders of forced displacement or has become a militarized area of the Israel Army, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported on Monday in a statement.

“This leaves 2.1 million civilians tight in a fragmented 12% of the strip, in which the essential services have collapsed,” lamented the ocha.

The UN Agency recalculated the Israeli domain of the Gaza Strip after the Armed Forces ordered on Sunday the forced evaluation of the southwest of Deir al Balah (Centro de Gaza).

In 22 months of offensive, the Israeli army had never launched a land operation on this city, which had become a focus of displaced and an important operations center for many international organizations.

“The new short order through the Balah every way to the Mediterranean sea, further fragmenting the strip. It will limit the ability of the UN and our partners to move safely and effectively through Gaza, drowning humanitarian access when it is more needed,” the organization denounced.

Until now, the Israeli advance in Gaza west left a continuous area on the coast that had not been subjected to evacuation orders. The mandate of the army yesterday, however, was the first establishment of a combat zone to the coast, dividing that coastal strip into two.

“The Army continues to act strongly to destroy the abilities of the enemy and the terrorist infrastructure in the area while expanding its activities here, to operate in an area where it has not operated before,” the social network of the Israeli armed forces, Avichay Adraee, announced in a statement in the social network X.

The Israeli armed forces thus ordered the forced displacement of those who were in deir to the southern Balah, towards Mawasi, where some 425,000 people are already overwhelmed, despite the fact that the army submits the place to bombing almost daily. For its part, the Army says it controls 75% of Gaza. (EFE)
