Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) prohibited, in a decision published on Monday, the transmission and relay of interviews given by former President Jair Bolsonaro on social networks.

“The precautionary measure of prohibition of use of social networks, directly or through third parties, imposed on Jair Messias Bolsonaro includes, obviously, the transmissions, relay or vituation of audios, videos or transcriptions of interviews in any of the third party social networks platforms, and the investigated can not be used to circumvent the measure, under penalty of immediate revocation and decree of prison,” in your decision.

On Friday, Moraes banned Bolsonaro from using social networks, as well as forced him to wear an electronic anklet and to retreat at home at night on weekdays and all day on weekends. He also prohibited the former president to talk to his son and federal deputy, Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP), and to talk to ambassadors and approach embassies.

The decision was made because Moraes understood that Bolsonaro and Eduardo acted together with US officials to inhibit the STF action.

Prior to the release of Moraes’s decision, the former president canceled on Monday an interview scheduled for the Metrópoles Portal, which would be broadcast live on Youtube.
