The sad report of the victims from the heavy rainfall in South Korea is increasing, which, with the total number of dead reaching 14 today and their missing 12.

The deadly floods in South Korea are expected to follow heatwaves

Two people were killed and two others were missing in the Gapongong City of South Korea after a landslide that swallowed houses, and vehicles were drifting off the flood waters.

Heavy rainfalls are noted for the fourth day in the country and are likely to stop today, according to today’s prediction of the country’s government meteorological service, and heatwaves are expected shortly afterwards.

According to the same prediction, the heavy rainfall previously scanned southern parts of South Korea moved north overnight.

Thousands abandoned their homes

On Saturday, those who were unable to return to their homes due to the deadly floods, while authorities were constantly issuing warnings of most of the country.

Overall, more than 7,000 people had to get away from their homes in recent days due to heavy rainfall.

In Socan, a province of southern Tsunktkong south of Seoul, a rainfall was recorded that exceeded 500 mm, as the country’s interior ministry informed.

In other parts of the province cows they were desperately trying to keep their heads out of the water in stables and sheds that had been flooded. Over 641 buildings, 388 roads and 59 farms have been damaged by floods.
