Preta Gil, Brazilian singer, presenter and actress, died this Sunday, at age 50. The artist, daughter of Gilberto Gil, was fighting a cancer.
In January 2023, he was diagnosed with a colorectal cancer, and then underwent surgery and chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments.
Preta Gil even said that the disease was in remission, but in August 2024, the singer stated that the cancer had returned in different parts of the body.
In addition to the artistic path, Gilberto Gil’s daughter is recognized as a symbol of the fight against racism and the rights of women and the LGBT+community.
Preta Gil leaves a 28 -year -old son, Francisco, a member of the Gilsons, and a granddaughter of seven.
