It seemed that, for once, the last plenary of the course was going to be almost processing for the government, but everything is complicated again a few hours from the vote. Podemos announced on Monday its rejection of the validation of the Royal Decree Law that approves after the historic blackout suffered by Spain on April 28. With its vote against, the norm that seeks to reinforce the electrical system, is in the hands of what they do together and the PP that, for the moment, does not reveal their letters.
“The great energetics whisper to the Ministry,” said the Secretary of Organization of the Party of Belarra, Pablo Fernández, at a press conference. The spokesman has justified his rejection of the norm in which “neither faces the interests of the energy oligopoly”, nor is it used to prevent a similar incident in the future. “This decree does not set obligations to oligopoly companies to implement compensation systems or establish fines to sanction reckless or corrupt behaviors of the oligopoly,” he added before accusing the government of “continuing to defend” these companies and “deceive” citizens. Fernández has also affirmed that the decree contains a subsidy to the macrogranjas. Government sources point out that Podemos did not want to meet with the Executive
The nth criticism of the leftist party to government policies has angered the Executive, which ensures that despite maintaining a permanent channel of dialogue and negotiation with the groups, the representatives of Podemos have not wanted to meet with them or make contributions to the text. The formation has been ensuring that they “do not negotiate with the Government of War and Rearme” and in this line, they affirm that they will only approve what they consider good for the interests of the workers.
The Minister of Culture, Ernest Urtasun, at the same time spokesman for Sumar Movement, has been in charge this morning of putting voice to that discontent. The leader has defended that the decree contributes to the electrification and stabilization of the system, in addition to establishing new conditions for the deployment of renewables. “It is good for the ecological transition of our country and it is disappointing that in issues of ecological transition, we can say that it votes against,” Urtasun said at a press conference.
