More than 600 athletes participated in the morning of Sunday (20) the race in celebration of the day of the Civil Police of Acre, officially celebrated on July 19. The start took place at 7am at the Avenida Amadeu Barbosa Avenue in Rio Branco, with 5 and 10 kilometers.

The event was promoted by the Acre Civil Police (PCAC) and the Academy Civil Police (Acadepol-AC), with the support of institutional partners. The deputy governor Mailza Assis was present, reinforcing the support of the State Government to the actions of appreciation and well-being of public security professionals.
More than one competition, the race aimed to encourage sports, care for physical and mental health, as well as promoting integration between the corporation and the acrean population. The event also celebrated the daily commitment of civil police to the security of society.

Among the highlights of the competition, Mateus dos Santos won first place in 5 km, community category. Already in the 10 km, also in the community category, the winner was Catriel Araújo. In the female, Rosa Moreira was champion in the 5 km, and Altamira Reis crossed first in 10 km.
At the end of the race, all participants received commemorative medals as a way of incentive and recognition. The organization already prepares a new edition of the event for the month of October, this time in Cruzeiro do Sul, expecting to gather athletes from all over the Juruá Regional.

According to the Government of Acre, the race reinforces the role of the Civil Police not only in the repression of crime, but also in promoting citizenship and social welfare.
