One six -year -old girl is hospitalized in serious condition at the Restoration Hospital in Recife, after being shot on the head and arm during a children’s birthday partyon the night of this Sunday (20), in Jaboatão dos Guararapes, in the Metropolitan Region of Recife.
The celebration took place in a house and celebrated the anniversary of a five -year -old childwhich was also injured. According to witnesses, a man descended the street with his gun in hand, broke into the party site and fired several shots at the guests.
In addition to the two children, A 19 -year -old boy was also hit. The most serious injured child was rescued and rushed to the Restoration Hospital. The unit confirmed in a statement that “the six -year -old patient is hospitalized with severe health.”
The author of the shots was identified as Sérgio Everton da Silva Carvalho, 49. He was arrested by the Military Police and taken to the Department of Homicides and Person Protection (DHPP).
According to the Pernambuco Civil Police, Sérgio was charged in the act for attempted murder. The weapon used to make the shots was not found. The investigation points out that The target of the shots would be the 19 -year -old. The birthday girl and the shot boy are out of danger.
