Benfica presented this Tuesday the project “Benfica District”, an ambitious sports city that includes the requalification of the Stadium of Luz and the entire surrounding area. The plan foresees a multipurpose pavilion for 10,000 people, two state -of -the -art pavilions, community pool, outdoor field, running track, as well as commercial, residential and hotel spaces.
The stadium will gain a new dynamic LED facade and an additional fourth level with 6,800 m², intended for offices and premium hospitality, reinforcing the club’s connection to the city beyond the game days.
According to Rui Costa, the project will be started immediately and aims to modernize infrastructures, create new valences and ensure long -term sustainability, preparing the club for future international competitions.
