According to Hunter Biden, former president was very tired of the trips and had taken a zolpidem to sleep
Hunter Biden, the son of former US President Joe Biden (Democratic Party), said in an interview on Monday (21.Jul.2025) that his father had a bad performance in the debate against Donald Trump (Republican Party) in 2024 for having ingested Zolpidem, an insomnia-nominated medicine. According to Hunter, the then president was extremely tired because of extensive trips.
“I know what happened in that debate. He [Joe Biden] flew around the world. By mileage, it could have turned around 3 times. He was 81 years old, was extremely tired”Hunter said.”They gave [zolpidem] so he could sleep. Then he went up on that stage and was paralyzed”He said.
Hunter said that before the debate, his father had made two trips to Europe and participated in an event for fundraising in California. The trips left the Democrat exhausted.
During the debate, held on June 27, 2024, Biden had a hoarse voice, lost his reasoning several times and made confusing statements. The official justification for poor performance involved influenza and the jet lay resulting from long air trips.
Biden was the Democratic Party candidate for the White House, seeking reelection. He on July 21.
Zolpidem is a hypnotic agent indicated in the short -term treatment of insomnia, when the patient faces difficulties in falling asleep and/or maintaining sleep. Its use is not recommended for more than 4 weeks, as is the use of all hypnotics.
