Civil society entities and social movements that were involved in an act in defense of democracy in Largo de São Francisco during the 2022 election campaign intend to do something in the same line on Friday (25),
The act is still in the initial phase of planning. The motto are the threats of tariff and the announcement of revocation of visas to the US to STF ministers. The idea is to provide solidarity with the judiciary and the prosecutor, also the target of the US government, as well as denounce the interference in Brazil’s internal affairs.
Entities will be invited that bring together judges, prosecutors and defenders of human rights, as well as unions and social movements. A manifesto on the subject should also be released.
The act should not have the courtyard of the USP law school and the outskirts of the building in downtown São Paulo were crowded. At the time, the motto was to prevent the victory of Jair Bolsonaro, who could threaten the institutions.
This time, the solemnity, at first, should take place in the noble hall of São Francisco.
The objective would be to start a process to call society to denounce the Trump government’s intrusion into the country’s affairs.
