More than 714 thousand retirees and pensioners have already joined the agreement with the federal government to reimburse the amounts improperly debited from the INSS accounts.
The number represents 36% of the total beneficiaries capable of signing adhesion, about 1.9 million people, according to the Ministry of Social Security.
The contestation of improper discounts can be made until November 14. .
The payment is automatic and falls into the same account where the retiree already receives the benefit, but adhesion is required.
Last week, a Provisional Measure signed by President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva was published in the Federal Official Gazette that opens extraordinary credit of R $ 3.31 billion to speed up the return of irregularly drawn up funds by associative entities between March 2020 and March 2025.
The reimbursement plan was approved by the Federal Supreme Court (STF), based on conciliation signed between several institutions.
