Rescue units 21 July intervened in solutions near Prague. The Czech accommodation facility on Tyršovo Square was suspected of meningitis. Inspectors investigated 80 people in totalinforms.
The units intervened in the accommodation from the evening. “We currently have three inspectors of operation, rescuers crew and crew with a doctor. We have a preliminary 80 people in care, and it is a suspicion of meningitis B,” Marek Hylebrant said during the intervention.
According to the agency’s information, the infection could have occurred with a foreigner from Mexico, who was supposed to die in the hospital. Medicines were preventively administered to the residents of the accommodation. Meningococcal infection can cause inflammation of the brain membranes or sepsis. In the extreme case, there is an infected death. Rescuers ended the intervention approximately two hours after midnight, and according to their statement, none of the examined is in danger of life.
