Petition sent to the Supreme Court claims violation of restrictions imposed on the former president and accuses international articulation against Brazilian institutions together with Deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro
Federal Deputy Lindbergh Farias (PT-RJ) filed, on Monday (21), a new petition to the Supreme Federal Court (STF) requesting the custody of the former president. The parliamentarian maintains that the former Mandanician failed to comply with a precautionary measure by using social networks, directly or indirectly, which would be in disagreement with determination imposed by Minister Alexandre de Moraes.
In the document, Lindbergh attaches a video and the transcription of a speech attributed to Bolsonaro, in which he would have manifested publicly, despite the ban. The precautionary measure in force prevents the former president from using digital platforms, including through third parties. The petition also points out that Bolsonaro would be involved in a “continued coup action,” now in the international phase.
According to the deputy, the former president articulates, together with the deputy (PL-SP), a campaign for foreign sanctions against the country. The text states that Eduardo’s permanence in the United States is being funded by Bolsonaro with the objective of pressuring Brazilian institutions, especially the.
According to the prosecution, this articulation would have contributed to the so-called “Trump tariff”, which increased by fifty percent export rates on Brazilian products, a recent measure announced by the former US president. So far, neither the Supreme Court nor the defense of Jair Bolsonaro have officially commented on the new arrest request. The former president’s legal team has denied any violation of precautionary measures.
