The minister, of the (Supreme Federal Court), gave 24 hours to defend () clarify statements from the former president after prohibiting the former modeler on social networks.
In his decision on the night of Monday (21), Moraes calls for clarification, “under penalty of immediate decree of the defendant’s arrest”. In the document, he shows images of the former president displaying his anklet and video prints with his lines being shared on social networks.
The former president spoke to journalists on Monday afternoon in the House of Representatives when leaving a meeting with parliamentarians of opposition to the Lula government (PT).
“Cowardice what they are doing with former President of the Republic. Let’s face everything and everyone. What goes for me is the law of God,” said the former president. “This is a symbol of the maximum humiliation,” he said, pointing to the anklet.
Bolsonaro’s statement was recorded in audio and video and shared by profiles of former president’s supporters and opponents on social networks.
Bolsonaro spoke to the press less than three hours after Moraes released an order informing that the precautionary measures imposed last Friday (18) also banned the former president from making statements that were released on the networks.
“The precautionary measure of prohibition of use of social networks, directly or through third parties, imposed on Jair Messias Bolsonaro, obviously includes the transmissions, relay or broadcast of audios, videos or transcripts of interviews in any of the third party social networking platforms,” Moraes wrote.
According to the minister, the use of interviews for the disclosure of their statements on social networks would be a means of circumventing the court decision. Moraes has defined that if the rule is disrespected, there will be “immediate revocation and decree of prison” of the former president.
Bolsonaro is part of precautionary measures since Friday (18). He is prohibited from accessing social networks and talking to his son Eduardo, who is in the United States and whose performance for the Trump government to raise sanctions against Brazil is investigated by the Federal Police.

The measures were imposed by Moraes after the PGR (Attorney General of the Republic) argue that they would be urgent to avoid a possible attempted Bolsonaro escape. The former president denies the intention to leave the country.
