Claimed abduction, 9 -year -old was found dead
A few hours later, the 9 -year -old’s corpse was found under a tree trunk in a shallow area of the lake, near the city of Tikonaroga.
According to the case file, the murder is estimated to be between 7:40 and 9:12 on Saturday night, the day they were scheduled to return to Quebec.
Plans of security cameras show the father with Melina at a restaurant in Saratoga Springs at 5:30 pm, and about an hour later the girl allegedly contacted his mother, without reporting anything worrying.

The indictment for the 45 -year -old father
The 45 -year -old was arrested and accused of second -degree murder and illegal rejection of body.
He was transferred to the Essex County Prisons in the early hours of Monday and was taken to the Tikonaroga court at noon. He made no statements to the journalists and said he was innocent.
According to US media, he said he was unable to hire a lawyer, despite maintaining a public image of luxury life with expensive cars and travel.
