A Delta Airlines plane was forced to return to Los Angeles airport shortly after peeling after a fire in the left engine. The aircraft, a Boeing 767-400, operated flight 446 to Atlanta.
During the climb, flames were visible leaving the engine on the left, as shown by a video captured by a witness. Given the severity of the situation, the crew declared emergency and proceeded to immediate landing, without registration of injured.
The Federal Aviation Administration of the United States (FAA) has already begun an investigation to investigate the causes of the incident and evaluate any technical failures.
On July 18, a Boeing 767 passenger plane of Delta Airlines flew from Los Angeles to Atlanta as planned, but the left engine of the passenger plane suddenly caught fire shortly after takeoff. It then returned to Los Angeles Airport and landed safely 25 minutes after takeoff.
