Green light for the sale of fighters in the allegedly lit. According to Spiegel, the approval is given following a positive recommendation by the German Security Council.
Turkey had requested the purchase of 40 Eurofighter fighters to be built in the United Kingdom with spare parts from Germany. The neighboring country had made the request in March 2023 and now as it all seems to be approved.
A spokesman for the German government did not want to comment on the issue by saying that Security Council meetings were confidential. According to what Turkey has become known, it intends to buy 20 new and 20 used Eurofighter.
Recall that earlier this week, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said Germany and Britain have been a positive stance on the sale of aircraft, adding that Ankara wishes to complete the market as soon as possible.
As they all show, the reaction of Greece is expected immediately.
