A manifesto that will be released in Largo de São Francisco, in São Paulo, defends repudiation of “any and all form of intervention, intimidation or admonition, which seek subordinate our freedom as a democratic nation.”
Although the letter does not nominally cite US President Donald Trump, it is a reaction made by him and the announcement of cancellation of entry visas in the country to STF ministers.
“In international relations, Brazil is governed by the principles of national independence, the prevalence of human rights, of non-intervention, as well as the principle of equality between nations. This is what our constitution determines. We demand the same respect that we dispense with other nations,” the document says.
O, such as OAB-SP, ARNS Commission, Vladimir Herzog Institute, prerogatives, union and union centrals.
In the spirit of a broad front, the letter calls for political differences to be set aside at this time so that there is unity in defense of the country.
“Our sovereignty is unenforceable. When the nation is attacked, we must leave our eventual political differences, to defend our greatest heritage. Subjecting to this external coercion would mean giving up our own sovereignty, assumption of the Democratic Rule of Law, and renouncing our nation project,” says the letter, which ends with a word of slogans: “We are one hundred percent Brazil !!”.

Letter in defense of national sovereignty
Sovereignty is the power that a people have about themselves. More than two centuries ago Brazil has become an independent nation. In this period we have fought to govern our own destiny. As a nation, we express our sovereignty democratically and in accordance with our constitution.
This is how, daytime, we aim to achieve full citizenship, build a free, just and solidary society, eradicate poverty and marginalization, reduce social and regional inequalities, and to promote the good of all, without prejudice of origin, race, gender, color, age and any other forms of discrimination.
In international relations, Brazil is governed by the principles of national independence, the prevalence of human rights, non-intervention, as well as the principle of equality between nations. This is what our constitution determines.
We demand the same respect that we dispense with other nations. We repudiate any form of intervention, intimidation or admonition, seeking to subordinate our freedom as a democratic nation. The Brazilian nation will never give up its sovereignty, so hard conquered. More than that: Brazil knows how to defend its sovereignty.
Our Constitution guarantees the accused the right to broad defense. Proceedings are judged based on evidence and decisions are necessarily motivated and public. Intromissions foreign to the national legal order are inadmissible.
At this serious moment, when national sovereignty is attacked in a vile and unseemly manner, civil society mobilizes, once again, in the defense of citizenship, the integrity of institutions and the social and economic interests of all Brazilians.
Brazilian and Brazilians, dialogue and negotiation are normal in diplomatic relations, violence and discretion, no! Our sovereignty is unenforceable. When the nation is attacked, we must leave our eventual political differences to defend our greatest assets. Subjecting to this external coercion would mean giving up our own sovereignty, assumption of the democratic rule of law, and renounce our nation project.
We are one hundred percent Brazil !!
