Dozens of international humanitarian organizations have warned that Israeli blockade to humanitarian aid in Gaza is endangering the lives of doctors and humanitarian workers, while a large news agency claims to try to remove their remaining freelance journalists because the situation has become “unsustainable.”

In a joint statement, 111 international humanitarian organizations asked Israel to end the blockade, restore the total flow of food, drinking water and medical supplies to Gaza and agree with a ceasefire.

The coalition warned on Wednesday (23) that supplies in the territory are “totally exhausted” and that humanitarian groups are “witnessing their own colleagues and partners gaining before their eyes.”

“While the siege of the Israeli government kills the population of Gaza, humanitarian workers now join the same lines of food, risking being shot only to feed their families,” says the statement, whose signatories include doctors without borders, amnesty International and the Norwegian Council for refugees.

The statement occurred after a harsh charge against Israel by 28 Western countries, that the country “injects help gradually” in the Gaza Strip.

The Foreign Ministry of Israel rejected the joint statement-which was not signed by the US-because it considered it “disconnected from reality.”

The Israeli army “needs to stop killing people” seeking help in Gaza, the European Union’s main diplomat said on Tuesday (22).

“The murder of civilians seeking help in Gaza is indefensible,” said Kaja Kallas, an EU representative for Foreign Affairs, in an X publication.

In the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Palestinian Health, linked to Hamas.

“Cases of malnutrition and hunger are coming to Gaza hospitals all the time,” said Dr. Mohammad Abu Salmiya, director of the Al-Shifa Medical Complex, CNN on Tuesday.

Gaza was already strongly dependent on help and commercial food shipments before Israel launched his war against Hamas after the October 2023 attack.

Israel had already guilty of Hamas for his decision to stop the help of help, claiming that the militant group was stealing supplies and profiting from it. The group denied this claim.

Israeli authorities also blamed United Nations agencies, accusing them of not receiving help ready to enter Gaza.

But the UN states that Israeli forces often deny permission to transport help and that much more is waiting to be released.

In the statement on Wednesday (23), the coalition of humanitarian agencies also criticized the controversial GHF (Humanitarian Foundation of Gaza), supported by Israel and the US, which began operating on May 27.

Organizations stated that shots occurred almost daily in food distribution sites.

Juliette Touma, UN Communications Director of Palestinian refugees, Unrwa, said in a separate statement that the search for food “has become as mortal as bombing.”

She criticized GHF’s distribution scheme as “a sadistic deadly trap,” stating that “gunmen open random fire against multitudes, as if they were allowed to kill.”

He added that caregivers could not perform their duties due to lack of food.

“Doctors, nurses, journalists, humanitarian” are among the staff who are “hungry … fainting due to hunger and exhaustion while performing their functions,” she reported.

Israel has long been to dismantle Unrwa, arguing that some of its employees are affiliated with Hamas and that their schools teach hatred against Israel. Unrwa repeatedly denied the accusations.

Until July 21,-766 near GHF facilities and 288 near UN humanitarian aid trains and other humanitarian organizations, according to UN Human Rights Office spokesman Thameen al-Kheetan.

The Israeli army acknowledged that he fired warning shots at crowds in some cases and denied responsibility for other incidents.

At the end of June, the military claimed to have “reorganized” access to access to assistance places to minimize “friction with the population”, but the murders continued.

Last Wednesday (16), the GHF and another was fatally stabbed in a crowd in one of its places of assistance. It was the first time the group recognized deaths in one of their places.
