The State Executive of Progressives declared support for the pre-candidacy of Deputy Governor Mailza Assis (PP), to the Government of Acre in 2026, during a meeting held on Tuesday, 22, at the party headquarters, in Rio Branco.
Backed by the base, militancy and historical leaders, Mailza consolidates himself as the name of the acronym and strengthens the project of Governor Gladson Camelí’s base, which has guaranteed public support to Mailza as the only name of continuity to the government.
Party leaders of the state executive expressed support for pre-candidacy during a meeting at the party headquarters in Rio Branco. Mailza carries a history of unity, strengthening and loyalty to the acronym since she was president of the PP, when she was the senator’s mandate.
During the meeting, presidents of the progressive women’s, youth and Afro movements reinforced the union around the deputy governor, who has a history of loyalty and strengthening of the acronym since assuming the party’s state presidency when he was a senator. The group rejected any composition that has no Mailza as a candidate for the government.

José Bestene summed up the climate of the meeting: “Mailza is a strong name, firm at the same time, has stood out leading women and the party group. It is a name that we are here today to sacrament and say that it has our support and the whole group throughout the state.”
Livio Veras, state vice president of the subtitle, highlighted Mailza’s trajectory. “This party house is yours. He was with us as a senator. Here there is a team that, where we walk, we talk about his candidacy and support for the future endeavor we will face in Acre, which is his reelection.”
The president of PP Afro, Éden Araújo, went straight: “Where I enter, I will take the name Mailza to 2026. The project is Gladson and Mailza,” he said.
Councilman Samir Bestene and the president of PP Mulher, Nazaré Araújo, also reinforced the support. “Today, our party is not anyone. Our candidate is Mailza,” said Nazareth, condemning “misogyny, lack of loyalty and political and gender violence” against women in politics.
Mailza reaffirmed her commitment to the unit and said she wants the MDB as an ally on the majority plate. “We will not refuse to talk to any political party. We are about to add. I met a lot of people who were opposition. And we will continue to talk,” he said.
