Serra Fair returns to São Brás with enlarged enclosure and luxury poster

São Brás de Alportel will receive between Thursday and Sunday the Serra Fair, which has this year with a larger enclosure and more than 70 hours of shows and animation, in six stages, announced the municipality.

Matias Damásio (Thursday), Emanuel (Friday), Pedro Abrunhosa (Saturday) and Carolina Deslandes (Sunday) are the main names of the event’s poster, which takes place in the municipality of Faro district, the São Brás de Alportel chamber in a statement said.

The Algarve municipality pointed out that the 2025 edition of the Serra Fair edition surpasses the four hectares of area and visitors will also have access to “over 300 exhibitors, 22 thematic spaces, nine restoration spaces, a dozen snack points and the like”.

It is a “differentiating” event, which offers “proposals for all ages and preferences”, giving participants the possibility of contacting and knowing “culture, traditions, arts and crafts, the potentiality of territory, their people and their entrepreneurs”, considered the mayor, Vítor Guerreiro, quoted in the note.

The Serra Fair is also a remarkable moment from the point of view of the involvement of the local community, involving in its realization about 2,700 people, stressed the municipality.

“In this edition, honey is the highlighted product, with intimate relationship with the Algarve, with its culture and gastronomy and that inspires the 22 thematic spaces distributed by more than four hectares of the enclosure,” he said.

With more than three decades of existence, the Serra Fair is one of the “anchor” events of the municipality of São Brás de Alportel, due to the “direct and indirect impact” in the local economy, he added.

The president of the organizing committee and vice president of the municipality, Marlene Guerreiro, considered that the Serra Fair has also attracted the “interest of companies” and, in this edition, there will be “a new themed space” called ‘Serra Tech’.

This space combines “technology, innovation and entrepreneurship” and seeks to foster companies that want to “undertake and invest in the interior of Algarve,” he added.

“A fair over three decades is very happy when young people are increasingly interested, get involved and feel it as their own,” said Marlene Guerreiro, quoted in the note.

The event is also “more affordable and safer”, due to the improvements introduced in the venue, highlighted the organization, which stressed the importance of the Serra Fair as a “interior valorization engine”.

“The Serra Fair continues to maintain tradition and seek to value the knowledge, flavors and culture of Serra Algarvia and this year will have its mountain village and the meeting of letters with more artisans working live,” he concluded.
