Spanish roads face one of the most circulation bridges of the whole year from tomorrow at three in the afternoon. It provides that some millions of displacements be carried out from that time until midnight on Sunday. The change of imminent month and makes many drivers and their families ahead of the holidays, with the consequent increase in mobility and traffic jams. Traffic believes that L in which Friday, Santiago, is a festive: Galicia and the Community of Madrid.
The worst moments for the displacements will be the afternoon tomorrow until well into the night, because to put the way to coastal areas, the second residences and accommodations in the mountains. On Friday morning it will also be complicated because many families will delay their departure until then, but short movements will also be added to go to the beaches or make purchases in nearby populations. In the case of the 15 regions in which it is not Santiago festive, withholdings may also appear on Friday afternoon, when the big cities are abandoned.
The return will have its worst moments throughout the Sunday, especially from four in the afternoon, when many people from their vacations return and for the return of those who have moved to pass the bridge outside their usual residence. The problems will occur, predictably, it also does not rule out that incidents are already produced on Saturday afternoon, by advancing some drivers their return to avoid the possible Sunday traffic jams.
Traffic has made a call to prudence and respect for circulation norms, especially in the short journeys – in which he gets used to lowering attention when the route is known – on conventional roads – a only lane by direction of circulation – and on the roads with a high presence of pedestrians, cyclists and motorists. Since last July 1, 90 people have lost their lives on the road.
During these days the circulation of trucks and dangerous goods will be restricted, sports tests that affect the main and and informative panels will be limited, in addition to recommending alternative itineraries. Drivers can obtain real -time information in the DGT accounts in X @informacionndgt and @dgtes or radio and television newsletters, as well as on the telephone 011.
The DGT recalled that during the summer the type of circulation and mobility changes. These include the largest traffic of vehicles on secondary roads, the largest presence of motorists, cyclists and pedestrians on the road; the conflicting circulation on roads that communicate populations of the coast and tourist areas of coast with the beaches; greater number of night displacements and a much higher number than the usual of foreign registration vehicles to tourist and coastal areas, as well as towards the border points of their countries of origin in Portugal and the Maghreb.
Vehicles up to 44 tons
One of the main claims of the road transport sector by road has been fulfilled from today with the publication in the BOE of the order that modifies the current legislation in the sector. From now on, trucks can transport up to 44 tons, compared to the previous 40, provided that it is five or more axles vehicle sets. The rule comes into force tomorrow, Thursday, July 24.
The order also contemplates specific increases in the maximum mass authorized according to the type of vehicle or set for the transport of rollo wood on paths of, up to a maximum of 150 kilometers, between the forest and the nearest forest industry. In addition, the maximum authorized length of articulated sets for the transport of indivisible longitudinal elements such as metal bars, beams or tubes, which was another of the requests demanded by the wood and metallurgical transport sector is regulated.
The regulation introduces another significant novelty, such as the expansion of the maximum height allowed up to 4.5 meters for the transport of straw, live animals and the supply of suppliers to industries located less than 50 kilometers. These sectors can thus operate with the same height limits already established for carriers, cranes and trucks that transport homologated closed containers, which is currently 4.5 meters.
