Brazil is in the semifinal of the Women’s Volleyball League (VNL)!
The Brazilian team confirmed favoritism and beat Germany 3-0 for the quarterfinals of VNL. At Atlas Arena, Poland, José Roberto Guimarães’s team secured the victory with partial 25/19, 26/24 and 25/14 this Thursday (24).
With this, Brazil and will have Japan ahead, on Saturday (26), at 15h (Brasília). , also this Thursday, in a fierce game.
Quiet start
The game started balanced at Atlas Arena, with the selections exchanging points. Despite not being scares, Brazil did not master the actions, making a lot of mistakes in the counterattacks.
The opposite Rosamaria was the highest scorer of the first set, with six points and Líbero Marcelle was one of the positive highlights, with good defenses and passing safe. Only in the final stretch of the set the Brazilian team was able to increase the advantage on the score and close with a partial 25 to 19.
Germany grows
The second set started with Brazil more fitted. Playing in the balls in the blockade and with the most effective attack, the team managed to open 15 to 10.
Halfway through the set, however, with Brazil in difficulty passing, Germany managed to reduce the advantage and touch, forcing Zé Roberto to stop the game with time and then bet on inversion with Macris and Tainara.
The final stretch of the set was balanced, with the selections exchanging points. After sinning a lot in the withdrawal, Germany managed to fit the foundation and secured two aces. Already Brazil did not go well when closing the points, with unfilled attacks and many mistakes.
The German tied in 20 to 20, growing in the pass and defense. But Brazil had its main star, to return to the scoreboard and close the set in 26 to 24.
Quiet victory
The third set started similar to the first, with the selections exchanging points. Germany started to force the withdrawal further, trying to make it difficult for Brazil to pass. Despite the beginning there and here, Brazil was not long before it was able to make an advantage with Gabi running the team.
With the passed pass, Roberta managed to trigger the centrals in the last set and Brazil had more peace of mind to turn the counterattacks and opened great advantage, closing the game with partial 25 to 14.
