The exminister of the environment Ján Budaj filed a complaint against his accusation. It was submitted to the supervising prosecutor for the decision together with the investigation file. Roman Hajek, a spokesman for the Presidium of the Police Force, confirmed this for TASR.
“The General Prosecutor’s Office (GP) of the Slovak Republic registered the complaint, and the prosecutor shall determine the procedure within the statutory period of time,” Zuzana Drobová, a spokeswoman for the GP SR, said for TASR.
The former environment of the Envirorezort has been accused by the police for continuing crime breach of the obligation in administration of foreign assets In connection with inefficient, uneconomical and ineffective use of the funds of the budget chapter of the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic. There should have been damage to the state budget totaling almost EUR 570,000.
Exminister Ján Budaj in response to the accusation declared that honestly defended the public interest. He therefore believes that the criminal proceedings will prove unfounded.
