The main national leaders of the gathered on Wednesday (23) with the president in the Planalto Palace, amid a series of acts promoted by the movement in recent days that includes the invasion of public buildings in 22 states.
The meeting with the president did not have the participation of Minister Paulo Teixeira, of agrarian development, that the MST decided to ignore in discussions about. On the government side only Minister Gleisi Hoffmann participated in institutional relations.

According to MST’s balance sheet, since Sunday (20) there have been actions in headquarters of Incra (National Institute of Colonization and Agrarian Reform) in 20 states, as well as buildings by the Ministry of Agriculture, Banco do Brasil and state secretariats.
There was also invasion of a property of Codevasf in Juazeiro (BA). In all, the acts mobilized more than 17,000 people, according to the movement.
According to Ceres Hadich of the National Coordination of the Movement, there was a request to Lula to accelerate the fulfillment of the goals that were agreed from the land reform.
They include settlement of 65,000 families camped for 20 years, as well as budget recomposition for credit access programs, cooperative strengthening and rural property infrastructure.
