According to Il Giorno, two vehicles, a car and a van, went through the wreckage and the flames. One of the 49 -year -old drivers came out unharmed, while the other 56 was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The Italian newspaper states that the drop in the ultralight occurred around 12:30 pm local time and that the road, already congested due to lunch time, was immediately blocked, with suspended traffic in both directions. Traffic was diverted to alternative routes, which created traffic jams in the area. Il Giorno also says that witnesses reported hearing a strong crash and then seen a fireball.
