Tarcísio’s statements were made at an event of celebration of the first year of privatization of Sabesp, held in the auditorium of Ibirapuera, in the state capital.

Still according to the g1at the same event,, the secretary of, Natália Resende, said that the process of depollution of the Tietê River and its main tributaries should be completed by 2029.
Tarcisio stated that the depollution of the 2 rivers will take place in the course of meeting the universalization goals of Sabesp’s water and sewage services. During the ceremony, Sabesp announced an investment plan of about $ 70 billion to universalize access by 2029.
The company pledged to make, in 5 years, the number of water and sewage connections that would be made in 50 years. To achieve this goal, Sabesp said it will raise the number of facilities made in the municipalities assisted this year by 2.5 times.
