The government of US President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday a package with initiatives and political recommendations focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI). The intention is to consolidate the American position as a global leader in this technology.
The plan rests on three main fronts: boosting innovation, expanding AI infrastructure in the United States, and consolidating the country’s hardware and software as a global reference for new AI applications.
In addition, the package proposes to make the regulation of the sector more flexible, aligning with the demands of Silicon Valley companies. In a 28 -page document released by the White House, the government says it intends to “remove excessive bureaucracy” that involves technology.
