FBI director Ms Patel has privately told other government officials that Trump’s name is in the records.
Patel refused to answer a WSJ question about the Estain case, but said that the memorandum on the Ministry of Justice’s website, which explains why the ministry would not publish more documents, was “in accordance with the thorough review carried out by the FBI”.
The promise to disclose the documents
The details of Bodi’s meeting with Trump had not been mentioned so far. Trump’s advisers, even during the election campaign, had said for months that they would release the records, and Trump, although sometimes doubting, had stated that he would support the publication.
