The governor of, and the mayor of Sorocaba, Rodrigo Manga, made on Thursday (24) a joint post on Instagram, during a visit by the head of the state executive to the city of the interior.
The “collab” marks an approximation between the two politicians, who, although belonging to Republicans, had a distant relationship. In the 2024 municipal campaign, Tarcísio did not campaign for mango, not to melind the PL candidate in the dispute, Danilo Balas. The refusal ended up generating internal rusts in the caption.
The foot behind the governor was also justified by the complaints against the mayor.
In the previous month, Manga suffered a search and seizure action of the Federal Police in investigating the hiring of an entity for administration of health programs in Sorocaba. The mayor denies any irregularities and says he is the target of persecution.
This time, Tarcisio sought to hitchhike the popularity of mango on social networks, where he is known as the governor, who prepares for next year’s election, has adopted a more informal language in videos on state management channels.
Mango aims to be a candidate for the Senate in 2026, and does not rule out trying the government if Tarcisio leaves for the presidency. The mayor has been talking to the PRTB to enable his political project.
