The number of deportations to Germany increased and exceeded 11,800 in the first half of 2025, according to data from the Federal Ministry of the Interior.
The number is contained in the answer to a question submitted to Budestag (Lower House) member of the far -right, Xenophobic Alternative Party (AfD), a member of the far -right, Xenophobic party.
In the corresponding period of 2024, the number of deportations was 9,500. A total of Germany authorities last year made over 20,000 deportations. Their number has been the highest for years.
Earlier this month, Interior Minister Alexander Dobrid, along with his counterparts of Austria, Denmark, France, Czech Republic and Poland, called on a tougher approach to issues of immigration and asylum.
