Neymar used social networks on Thursday (24) to give his version about the discussion with a Santos fan in the defeat against Internacional, 2-1, for the Brazilian Championship, on Wednesday (23), in Vila Belmiro.
The athlete said he was called a mercenary and accused the fan, identified as Alex Sander Silva, 50, of offending his family.
“To say that I’m a mercenary with my father, talk about my family and my friends. Sorry, but it’s hard to control. Even knowing I have,” wrote the 10th of the Baixada team.
The athlete also classified as unfair the offenses he would have heard and said he would leave the club if the fans understood that he is no longer helping.
“I came to Santos to try to help the club as best as possible on and off the field. The day the crowd thinks I can no longer help or hurt the club in some way, I am the first to get my things and leave,” he added.
It was the third in a straight match in which the 33 -year -old striker went to the fans to rebut provocations.
After the defeat that kept Alvinegro 17th in the national classification table, the striker went to the side of the field and began to mouth for a few minutes with a very exalted fan, until away from the discussion by goalkeeper João Paulo.
Still at the end of the second half, Neymar had already headed for the same space, in the lower chairs of the stadium, responding annoyed to the charges.
The fan was eventually harassed by other people present at the stadium after the discussion and published a video on social networks apologizing after the match.
“I wanted to apologize for all Santos fans. I exalted myself a little. Santos’ team is leaving a lot to be desired. I covered Neymar. I was a little harsh. There is no way to ask him.
